With its three-part focus on historic preservation, education, and patriotism, the DAR is all about service. There are innumerable ways to get involved and give back to your community by joining a local chapter. You will not be alone on your journey, we have members available to assist you as you do family research, and the NSDAR library is one of the largest genealogical sources in the world.
The DAR has so much more for you to discover on a state and national level. From its beautiful historic headquarters in Washington, D.C., to its extensive museum collections and period rooms, to its genealogical research database system, to local Michigan historical sites, the DAR is active on so many levels.
